Water Main Break Causing Delays On Busy Road In Westchester County
Police are warning commuters to avoid a busy road in Westchester County due to delays caused by an active water main break. The break happened on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 16 in Yonkers on Saw Mill River Road (Route 9A) between Ashburton Avenue and Palmer Road, according to an announcement from Yonkers Police from around 4 p.m. Motorists are advised to plan an alternate route to avoid the water main break. A Westchester man has been charged with felony DWI after he was intercepted driving the wrong way on the Saw Mill River Parkway while drunk, according to police. The incident took place in Yonkers around 4 a.m. Tuesday, July 26. A man wanted on an attempted murder charge was the driver of a car that took Westchester County police officers on a chase before crashing into a building, authorities announced. Off-Duty Police Chief Nabs Three Juveniles After Robbery Moments Earlier In Westchester
The job never stops for an off-duty police chief in Westchester who helped track down several minors who allegedly robbed an elderly man. Bronxville Police Chief Christopher Satriale was sitting in traffic over the weekend, when he noticed three minors robbing the man near the intersection of Central Park Avenue and Palmer Road in Yonkers, police confirmed.
