Man, 20, Arrested For DWI After Scarsdale Police Officer Found Him Asleep
A 20-year-old man asleep behind the wheel with the car in gear at a green light was arrested by police in Westchester for allegedly driving while intoxicated. An officer from the Scarsdale Police Department was traveling east on Mamaroneck Road at approximately 5:50 a.m. when he came to a stop at a red light at the intersection of Palmer Avenue. Police said that the officer spotted two vehicles stopped at the intersection in front of him for an extended period of time - even after the light turned green. Driver With Multiple License Suspensions, Open Warrant, Busted In Scarsdale
A 48-year-old man who had his license suspended four times for various offenses was arrested in Westchester over the weekend. An officer from the Scarsdale Police Department on patrol near the intersection of Heathcote Road and Palmer Avenue stopped Bronx resident John Adorno at approximately 5:10 p.m. on Friday, March 29, when an alarm sounded that his vehicle had a suspended or revoked registration. During the stop, it was determined that Adorno’s vehicle had its registration suspended on Nov. 2 last year due to “insurance not in effect.” Further investigation into Adorno determined that …

A disoriented man who was found slumped over in his Mercedes with the engine running, allegedly drunk in Westchester, is facing a series of misdemeanor charges after police officers needed to wake him up while he was behind the wheel. Two Burglars Busted Red-Handed Stealing From Westchester Home, Police Say
Two men from Westchester were caught red-handed in Scarsdale after burglarizing a village home. Two men were spotted by officers on Mamaroneck Road, east of Palmer Avenue on Wednesday night acting suspiciously outside a local residence, Scarsdale Police Capt. Thomas Altizio said on Thursday. Further investigation revealed that the home had just been burglarized. A 28-year-old woman was tracked down by police after being involved in a crash with another driver in Scarsdale and attempting to flee the scene over the weekend, police said.
