Hudson Valley Native Who Was Senior IT Analyst Dies Suddenly At Age 51 A man who grew up in the Hudson Valley and worked as a senior IT analyst has died at the age of 51. Brian Jonigan died unexpectedly at his Rochester home on Thursday, June 2, according to his obituary. Jonigan was born in Poughkeepsie and attended Wappingers schools in Dutchess County. He went on to graduate from Rochester Institute of Technology, his obituary said.  "He worked for many years as a Senior IT Analyst for Ortho Clinical Diagnostics in Rochester," his obituary reads. Area Murder Victim Was A Musician Who Enjoyed Hiking, Fishing A visitation is planned for an area musician and tattoo artist who was murdered earlier this week in the region. Sullivan County resident Michael A. Hankins, age 29, of Woodridge, was killed on Tuesday, Jan. 11 in Shawangunk in Ulster County, said the New York State Police. Walter D. Post Jr, age 26, of Shawangunk, was arrested and charged with Hankins murder, state police said. Kayaker From Scarsdale Mourned After Death During Nor'easter Memorial services have been scheduled to honor the life of a Westchester County man who died after a powerful Nor'easter rolled in while he was kayaking on the Long Island Sound. Laurence Broderick, age 45, of Scarsdale, was reported overdue by his family on Tuesday, Oct. 26, after he left Hempstead en route to Mamamronek in his kayak at about 9 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 25, authorities reported.  He was found unresponsive by the US Coast Guard on Tuesday afternoon, and he was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
