5-Year-Old Killed In Two-Car Hudson Valley Crash Identified
A 5-year-old girl was killed during a horrific crash on Route 17 when the pickup truck she was riding in crossed the center lane and slammed into another truck, police said. Charkeilys Viera of Rochester, who was not in a child seat or seatbelt, was killed when she was ejected from the vehicle around 2:48 p.m. Monday, said Eric Chaboty, with the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office. Suspect Nabbed In Homicide Of 19-Year-Old In Hudson Valley
This story has been updated. Police have identified the person shot to death by a 19-year-old man Sunday in a Hudson Valley apartment complex. Lawrence Burns, 19, of Brooklyn, was found dead around 3:37 a.m. Sunday, by members of the Village of Monticello Police Department and New York State Police, while responding to a 911 call reporting a body on the ground, said Monticello Police Lt. Two men are behind bars after an armed robbery at an AT&T store in the Hudson Valley led to a high-speed chase through Sullivan and Orange counties ended off Route 17K in Bloomingburg on Friday afternoon.
