Interim Superintendent Named At School District In Westchester
As a Northern Westchester school district's superintendent prepares to take over at a neighboring village, officials have named his temporary replacement. Mary Fox-Alter will take over as Interim Superintendent of the Ossining Union Free School District beginning on Saturday, July 1, district officials announced. A veteran Hudson Valley educator is set to step in to replace a schools superintendent in Northern Westchester who announced she will be ending her four-decade career earlier this year. A longtime educator in Northern Westchester announced she will be stepping down at the end of the year after a four-decade career in education. Pleasantville Union Free School District Superintendent Mary Fox-Alter announced this week that she will be retiring at the end of the calendar year in December following a 40-year career, 31 of which were spent with the district.
