Woman Killed After Being Struck By Car On Hudson Valley Roadway
A woman from the area was killed after being struck by a car on a Hudson Valley roadway. The incident took place in the town of LaGrange around 10 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24 on Route 55/Freedom Plains Road. According to Trooper AJ Hicks, Carol A. Murray, age 61, of LaGrange, entered Freedom Plains Road east of Commerce Street for unknown reasons and was struck by a 2018 Nissan Sentra. One person was killed during a crash in the Hudson Valley between a New York State Police patrol vehicle and a school bus. The crash took place around 3:15 p.m., Tuesday, March 8 in Dutchess County on Route 55 and South Cross Road in LaGrange. It involved the patrol vehicle and an Arlington Central School District minibus with two adult students, the driver and an aide onboard, said Trooper AJ Hicks. Crews responded to a report of a fire at a Dutchess County home, located on Lakeview Road in LaGrange, at about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. A suspect is in custody after a fatal stabbing following a high school football game in the Hudson Valley overnight. It happened around 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17 immediately after the game in Dutchess County between Scarsdale High School and host Arlington High School in LaGrange. A small plane crashed late Sunday afternoon, Dec. 27 in the Hudson Valley. The plane went down just short of a runway in Dutchess County at Sky Acres Airport in LaGrange just before 3:30 p.m. The pilot and single occupant of the Cessna aircraft was able to remove herself from the plane with no injuries, according to authorities. The pilot from the Hudson Valley killed in a helicopter crash-landing on the roof of a Manhattan skyscraper is being remembered for his years of service as a longtime fire chief in the area. McCormack, the only victim in the crash, had taken off from the 34th Street heliport 11 minutes before crashing onto the top of the 750-foot tall building amid rain and fog, setting its roof on fire. A man overdosing on opioids was saved by first responders after he lost control of his car and crashed into another vehicle. The incident took place Sunday afternoon when Cameron J.
