Target To Lower Prices On 5,000 Items: Here's Where You Can Expect To See Savings Target announced that it would lower prices on 5,000 "frequently shopped" items in its stores nationwide, the company said in a press release.  Those items include milk, meat, bread, soda, fresh fruit and vegetables, snacks, yogurt, peanut butter, coffee, diapers, paper towels, pet food, and more, the chain said in a Monday, May 20, news release. Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) officials have announced a plan to offer extra rail services on Wednesday, July 3 in order to to help customers travel to Fourth of July holiday activities.
