Woman Nabbed Going 125 MPH On I-95 In Region, Police Say
A 31-year-old Fairfield County woman was stopped by Connecticut State Police driving 125 mph in a 55 mph zone. The incident took place in Greenwich on I-95 near Exit 4 around 12:15 a.m., Friday, Dec. 15. Genesis Rosado-Inga, of Stamford, was stopped after troopers spotted her BMW traveling erratically, state police said. After troopers determined the car was traveling at least 125 mph they initiated a traffic stop. Four people were killed in a crash between a tractor-trailer and an SUV on a stretch of I-95 in Connecticut overnight. The crash happened just after 3 a.m. Saturday, May 13 in Fairfield County. The tractor-trailer was traveling at a very slow rate of speed in heavy traffic on the northbound side in the center lane of three, approximately one-tenth of a mile south of Exit 8 in Stamford, according to Connecticut State Police. Four, Including Three From Fairfield County, Killed In Wrong-Way I-95 Crash
Four people were killed in a head-on crash on I-95 in Connecticut. Police said the crash happened in the New Haven County town of Guilford at about 2:50 a.m. on Sunday, May 29. A 2009 Nissan Altima 2.5 S was going the wrong way, traveling north on I-95 south between exits 60 and 59, when it collided with a southbound 2012 Chevrolet Colorado LT, according to Connecticut State Police. Woman Killed In Wrong-Way Head-On I-95 Crash
One person was killed in a wrong-way, head-on crash overnight on I-95. It happened around 2:45 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 17 in Fairfield County. A 2006 Dodge Ram was traveling in the center lane of three lanes on southbound I-95 just north of Exit 7 in Stamford., according to Connecticut State Police. A 2019 Toyota RAV4 was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when it collided with the Ram in the center lane, according to state police. New Haven County resident Cynthia E. Uber Driver Sentenced For Assaulting, Kidnapping White Plains Woman
A 25-year-old Uber driver has been sentenced after admitting to picking up a Westchester woman, kidnapping her and sexually assaulting her in his car before dropping her on the side of I-95 in Connecticut. Harbir Parmar, of Howard Beach in Queens, has been sentenced to three years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release after pleading guilty in White Plains federal court to kidnapping and wire fraud following his arrest on Oct. 16 last year.
