Greenburgh Names Interim Police Chief The Greenburgh Police Department is turning to a familiar face to fill the void left by retiring Chief Chris McNerney. Capt. Brian Ryan has been named the Interim Chief, effective on Monday, Aug. 26, taking over McNerney’s position. A permanent chief is expected to be appointed next year after the administration of a civil service promotional exam in March, Town Supervisor Paul Feiner said.
