Cafe To Close One Of Its Locations In Hudson Valley, Owners Say
A local restaurant has announced plans to close one of its two locations in the area.
The Tomato Cafe announced plans to close its restaurant in Poughkeepsie.
"We would like to thank our staff, our customers, and the Arlington Community," the owners said in a Facebook post.

The Tomato Cafe in Fishkill, located at 1123 Main St., will remain open, the owners added. That location has been in operation since 2009.

Dr. John Alexander, Chiropractor In Area, Dies Suddenly At 58
Dr. John A. Alexander, a chiropractor in the Hudson Valley, died suddenly on Sunday, Oct. 25 at the age of 58.
Alexander, a resident of Mahopac, was born on Feb. 6, 1962, in New York City, the son of John and Braulia (Alvino) Alexander.
John attended Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia where earned his doctorate in chiropractic medicine.
On April 4, 1992, he married Phyllis Spaccarelli at St. John The Evangelist Church in Mahopac.
"John loved being a chiropractor and loved his patients," his obituary said. "Many became his best friends."

Gap Hiring At Local Fulfillment Center, Bringing 1,400 Jobs To Hudson Valley
Gap is looking to hire 1,400 "flex" employees, who can choose which hours during the week and weekends that they'd prefer to work, at its Dutchess County packaging and assembly center in Fishkill for the holiday season.
Flex employees can work hours during the day, at night and on weekends; they are also permitted to pick up extra hours.
The starting rate for full-time, part-time and seasonal employees, said the company, went up by one dollar on Monday, Oct. 18.
