An electrical issue with power lines caused a blaze at a Northern Westchester intersection. The incident happened on Tuesday, May 21 around 4:30 p.m., when grass was reported to be on fire below power lines at the intersection of Somerstown Road and Vails Lane in New Castle, according to the Millwood Fire Department. Firefighter, 2 Others Injured In Blaze At Westchester Eatery
A basement fire at a popular Westchester eatery resulted in three people being injured, including a firefighter who was hospitalized. The incident happened on Wednesday, Nov. 8 just after 10 a.m., when the Larchmont Fire Department responded to an active basement fire at Bagels by Sofia located at 145 Chatsworth Ave. According to the department, arriving crews found plenty of smoke pouring from the eatery and upon entering, discovered heavy flames in the basement. Firefighter Hospitalized After Blaze Breaks Out At Home In Westchester
Although a quick response from firefighters to an early morning blaze at a house in Westchester ensured that the occupants escaped unharmed, one first responder was hospitalized as a result of the blaze.
