The Mount Vernon building commissioner was busted for DWI at twice the legal limit after crashing his SUV, police said. Daniel Jones, 46, a Brooklyn resident, was arrested around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday after New Rochelle Police responded to a report of a crash in the parking lot of the Glen Island Center on Pelham Road, said New Rochelle Police Capt. Cosmo Costa. Officers found Jones in his 2017 Ford Explorer after he wrecked his vehicle, police said. Three Westchester Districts Will Get School Resource Officers County Executive George Latimer has authorized the Westchester County Police Department to provide School Resource Officers to the Lakeland, Somers and Hendrick Hudson school districts.
