Westchester Welcomes New Police Academy Graduates Sixty police recruits graduated Friday, May 25 from the Westchester County Police Academy and have landed coveted law enforcement jobs at 16 police departments in Westchester and one in New York City. The new officers, who completed 20 weeks of training at the police academy in Valhalla, received their diplomas during a ceremony at Purchase College of the State University of New York.
