Pair Of Bears Spotted Near Westchester Intersection: Here's Where Two black bears were seen together at an intersection in Northern Westchester, officials announced. The duo was seen by the intersection of Route 116 and Route 121 on Old Salem Center Road in North Salem, Supervisor Warren Lucas announced on Thursday, Oct. 12 around 4:15 p.m.  Authorities were notified about the animals, but Lucas said residents should have no cause for concern.  "The police are aware, please be aware. At this point they weren't bothering anyone," Lucas said.

Deaths Of Two Female Black Bears Found In Area Under Investigation The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has launched an investigation into the deaths of two female black bears whose bodies were found in the Fuller Mountain Preservice in Warwick last week.
