PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Melanie Pavels led the way with 12 kills and 12 digs Saturday as the Pace Setters womens volleyball team swept the Ravens of Franklin Pierce University in 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-20) in Northeast-10 Conference action.
Ardsley High School graduate Tamilee Webb of Hartsdale added 10 kills and two blocks, while Ursula Vero (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman High) totaled 14 digs. Mount Kiscos Nora Rugova, a graduate of Fox Lane High, recorded nine kills, while Elyse Rowland had a match-high 20 digs and a pair of service aces. Senior Shea Hansen totaled 36 assists along with three aces.
The Setters return to action on Tuesday at West Haven, Conn. for a Northeast-10 Conference match against the University of New Haven at 7 pm. Pace is currently ranked No. 6 in the first NCAA East Region poll, while New Haven is ranked No. 1
