IRVINGTON, N.Y. The host Irvington Bulldogs boys basketball team used a 13-8 third-quarter run to pull away from Ardsley and earn a 46-38 victory in the opening round of the 33rd William Warnock Memorial Tournament Friday.
The Bulldogs (1-0) will face Dobbs Ferry (1-0) in Saturdays championship game at 6 p.m. and Ardsley (0-1) will meet Pelham (0-1) in the consolation at 2 p.m.
Jon Goldreich scored a team-high 14 points and teammates Ryan ODonnell and Kevin Tierney each added 10 points for the Bulldogs. Ardsleys Jake Liebersohn led all scorers with 17 points and Mark Whitley and Tommy Foley each had five.
