Incumbent Running Unopposed in Pocantico Hills

 

POCANTICO HILLS, N.Y. – One incumbent is running unopposed for a seat on the Pocantico Hills Central School District Board of Education.

 

David Wilens has served two three-year terms on the school board. He also volunteers in the school district's PTA and foundation and coaches various sports. Wilens has worked in the banking industry for almost 20 years.

 

Pocantico Hills residents will vote on the 2012-13 school budget and school elections from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on May 15. A polling station will be open at the school library at 599 Bedford Road.

Residents can register to vote in the upcoming school elections in the district clerk's office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. during any school day. The last day to register to vote is May 10.

 

Residents can apply for an absentee ballot by contacting the district clerk's office at 914-631-2440 ext. 103. The district must receive absentee ballot applications by 5 p.m. on May 8 if it is mailed and May 15 if picked up in person.

 

Completed ballots must be received by no later than 5 p.m. on May 15.
