Edgemont High National Chess Champions Honored

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Edgemont High School's national ninth-grade chess championship team was welcomed and honored by Westchester County Legislator MaryJane Shimsky, D-Hastings-n-Hudson, during the county Board of Legislators' meeting on Monday.

Students Alexander Crump, William Graif and Victor Lue each played seven rounds of chess over three days to win the National Scholastic K-12 Grade Chess Championships during the United States Chess Federation event in Orlando, Fla.
