The Wilton Police Department received reports at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20 of an erratic driver on Ridgefield Road (Route 33) near the intersection of Kellogg Drive.

Police said the driver was driving a Mercedes at a high rate of speed and illegally passed another southbound motorist on Ridgefield Road.

According to police, officers were able to locate the Mercedes at the intersection of Drum Hill Road and Ridgefield Road, which was parked on the side of the road.

The driver, South Salem resident Nicole Shattman, stated that she had stopped there due to a flat tire.

Police said that Shattman denied any erratic driving behavior to officers, and during the investigation, they noted the “strong odor of marijuana present,” leading to a search of her Mercedes.

During the search, police seized eight electronic cigarette reservoir tips containing THC, seven assorted bags of marijuana, two glass smoking bowls and an electronic cigarette containing THC.

Shattman was issued a misdemeanor summons and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Tuesday, March 3 for violations of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
