Greenburgh police said that James Gadson of Fairview was en route to his home on Old Tarrytown Road at 10:46 p.m. on Thursday when his SUV struck a 37-year-old motorcyclist. Andre J. Garcia of 33 Oak St. in White Plains was killed in the crash.
No tickets have been issued to Gadson, police said.
Greenburgh detectives are currently investigating this collision and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to contact them at 914-989-1700.
Calling hours for Mr. Garcia are at 9 a.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church in White Plains, according to the funeral home handling arrangements, which can be viewed by clicking here. A memorial service follows at 11 a.m. at the church located at 188 Orawaupum St. Burial will be at White Plains Rural Cemetery.
Police said Gadson was making a left turn onto Old Tarrytown Road from Hillside Avenue when the fatal accident occurred. Mr. Garcia was driving a BMW motorcycle northbound when he collided with the SUV, police said.
