Emergency Responders Extricate Passengers In Elmsford I-287 Rollover Crash

ELMSFORD, N.Y. - Traffic was tied up temporarily on westbound I-287 Tuesday afternoon when emergency personnel extricated a driver and passenger following a motor-vehicle accident near Elmsford.

Officials confirmed that at approximately 1 p.m. on Tuesday, first responders were dispatched near exit 1 on I-287, where they found a vehicle overturned with a pair pinned inside, requiring police intervention.

Within an hour, first responders had all parties removed and officials were working on clearing the scene. At least two people were treated by paramedics at the scene as a precaution, but their status is unconfirmed. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
