Rocco J. Monteleon, 85, Of Ardsley

ARDSLEY, N.Y. - Rocco J. Monteleon of Ardsley died Dec. 14. He was 85.

Monteleon was born in Dobbs Ferry; son of Nicholas and Josephine Monteleon. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was the produce manager at the A&P until his retirement. He was a lifelong resident of Dobbs Ferry until moving to Ardsley in 2002. After retiring, he owned and operated the Broadway Stationery store in Dobbs Ferry.

Monteleon is survived by his children, Joanne (Tom), John (Lisa) and James Monteleon; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and brother, Joseph Monteleon. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Frances; five sisters; and two brothers.

Calling hours are Thursday, Dec. 19 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20 at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, Dobbs Ferry.

Memorial contributions may be made in Monteleon's name to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
