GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Katherine E. Jones Edmond, a Greenburgh resident, died Sunday, Feb. 15, at the age of 91.
She was born Feb. 4, 1924, in Moultrie, Ga., to the late Lucille and Rosevelt Jones. She was raised and educated in Atlanta. In 1944, she moved to New York City and in 1950 moved to Greenburgh.
Katherine worked in the cafeteria at Blind Brook High School in Port Chester, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Redeeming Love Christian Center.
She is survived by her sister, Kim Halyard, of Greenburgh, and was predeceased by her husband, Manuel Edmond, in 1943.
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 20, from 10 a.m.-noon at McMahon Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home, where a service will take place at noon. Interment will follow at Kensico Cemetery.
