HARTSDALE, N.Y. - Ellen Kelly Knight, a resident of Hartsdale, died Nov. 15. She was 70.
Knight was born July 11, 1944, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Edward and Valetta (Quail) Kelly. She worked as a paralegal for 38 years with the Liberty Mutual Insurance Law Department until she retired in 2004. She was on the Board of Directors of the Child Abuse Prevention Center of New York in White Plains.
Knight is survived by her husband, Richard of Hartsdale; stepchildren, Kimberly Knight of Franklin, Mass., Daniel Knight of Oak Park, Ill., and Paulette Butler of No. Smithfield, R.I..; five grandchildren; brother, Joseph Kelly; sister, Valetta Keelan; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and brother, Edward Jr.
Calling hours are Tuesday, Nov. 18 from 4 to 8 pm at the McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home Inc., 491 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains. Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18 at the funeral home.
