Teens Charged with Burglarizing Greenburgh Home

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Two Yonkers teenagers were arrested and charged with burglarizing a home on Dobbs Ferry Road in Greenburgh Monday morning according to police. 

Greenburgh police officers responded to a call of a break-in at a residence at 1101 Dobbs Ferry Road at approximately 9:50 a.m. Monday. They spotted two males walking along Dobbs Ferry Road near Forest Boulevard that fit the description of the suspects mentioned by the resident. 

Jose Delacruz, 18, and Phillip Villanueva, 17, both of Yonkers, were charged with burglary in the second degree, a class C felony. Further investigation by police led to additional burglary charges against Villanueva for residential break-ins at 61 Manhattan Ave. on Dec. 16, 2011 and at 298 Chatterton Parkway on Jan. 27, 2012. An additional charge of attempted burglary in the second degree was filed against Villanueva relevant to a second apartment at 298 Chatterton Parkway in Hartsdale on the same date, police said.

Both defendants, who have prior criminal records, were arraigned in Greenburgh Town Court. Villanueva has five prior felony arrests for robbery and weapons possession, while Delacruz has four prior felony arrests for narcotics and weapons possession, according to police.
