Popham Road Bridge Closure in Greenburgh

GREENBURGH, N.Y. - The Popham Road Bridge will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic from Friday at 6 p.m. to Saturday at 6 a.m. in conjunction with the replacement project.

Police Chief Joseph DeCarlo said the bridge closure is necessary so contractors can install structural steel on the south side of the bridge. Pedestrians will have to use the Metro-North and Freightway Parking Garage pedestrian bridges to cross over the train tracks.

Vehicular traffic heading west on Popham Road will be detoured south on Scarsdale Avenue, west to Harney Road and north to Garth Road back to Popham. Eastbound traffic will be detoured south on Garth, east to Harney and north on Scarsdale back to Popham.

If it rains, the work will take place from Saturday at 6 p.m. until Sunday at 6 a.m.
