Bloomington Police are continuing their search for the truck connected to the case of missing Edgemont resident Lauren Spierer. In the search's 14th day, parties are looking to locate a white, four-door Chevy truck with markings on the rear panel.
After releasing surveillance photographs of the truck during Wednesday's press conference, residents have speculated what objects might be lying in the truck's bed. Captain Joe Qualters, spokesperson for the Bloomington Police Department, said they are not ready to make a statement regarding what the objects are without further investigation.
Qualters urged parties that have expertise in digital imaging software to come forth and aid police in their examination.
Rob Spierer, Lauren's father and resident of the Edgemont community, stood in front of reporters at Thursday's press conference and thanked everyone for their support. He remarked that volunteers have seen their fatigue and asked the family when they will return to New York.
"We don't know when we're leaving," he said. "We have no plans to leave."
Charlene Spierer, Lauren's mother, held her daughter's surveillance photograph above her head and pleaded with the wrong-doers to let Bloomington end the search return Lauren.
"I'm begging you," said Charlene. "Put yourself in Lauren's place. What would you want your friends to do for you?"
Edgemont High School is hosting "Take A Stand" tonight, a yoga even raising money for the "Find Lauren Fund." It begins at 7 p.m. on the school's football field.
Spierer will appear on another segment of "America's Most Wanted" Saturday at 9 p.m. EST on FOX.
