On Your Mark... Valhalla Hosts Duathlon Race

VALHALLA, NY – Participants of this weekend’s Westchester Medical Center Duathlon in Valhalla have just a few more days to get their bikes and sneakers ready for action.

About 500 participants will hit the streets for Sunday’s race, which is a two-mile run, 15-mile bike and another two-mile run.

The event, in its tenth year, begins at 8 a.m. Sunday. Competitors can arrive on site as early as 6 a.m. to collect race packets. The awards ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. after the roads are cleared of racers. Fans are invited to watch the race and cheer on participants.

Formerly known as the WMC Biathlon, the race is a fundraiser for the Joel A. Halpern Regional Trauma Center and Burn Center.

On-course and finish line photography will be provided by Gahres Photography.
