Greenburgh Police Probe Home Burglaries

GREENBURGH, N.Y. - Greenburgh police responded to a call of a home burglary on Biltom Road at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 20.

A resident reported he left his home at 11:30 a.m. and when he returned five hours later he noticed his living room television was missing and property was on the floor. Bedroom dresser drawers were ransacked and computer hardware and software were missing.

In other police news:

Missing Money: A Granada Crescent resident reported at 11 p.m. Feb. 20 that when he opened his safe to retrieve a photograph, $9,000 in cash was missing. Safe is located in walk-in bedroom closet and only he and his wife have the combination. No signs of forced entry.

Shoplifter: On Feb. 20 at 7:12 p.m., police responded to Best Buy on a report of a larceny. Security reported a man wearing a beige jacket left store without paying for merchandise. Crime was captured on video surveillance.
