Construction and Accidents Cause Closed Roads

PELHAM, N.Y. – Accidents and construction have forced some Westchester County roads issues Tuesday.

An accident occurred on the Taconic State Parkway southbound just south of the US 202 exit in Yorktown has blocked the right shoulder, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.

Another accident that took place on I-87 southbound between Exit 8/8A, I-287, and Exit 9, Tarrytown, at 9:18 a.m., according to the New York State Thruway Authority.

Construction on NY 119 in both directions between Knollwood Road and NY 100A in Greenburgh closed the right lane and shoulder until 3:00 p.m.

Roadwork on the Taconic State Parkway southbound between the NY 134 exit in Yorktown and the Saw Mill River Parkway exit in Mount Pleasant has closed the right lane until 3:00 p.m.

Construction on the Hutchinson River Parkway southbound between Westchester Avenue in Harrison and Exit 27, NY 120, closed the right lane until 4:00 p.m.

Roadwork on US 9 in both directions at Rockledge Avenue in Ossining closed the right lane and shoulder until 4:00 p.m. The same closure will also occur on Wednesday.
