ARDSLEY, N.Y. Jeanne Kircauldy Wood Reid of Ardsley died May 7. She was 83.
A retired reference librarian, Reid worked at the Ardsley School District library.
A daughter of John and Robina Wood, she was born in North Tarrytown. She married Alexander Reid on Aug. 20, 1948 in North Tarrytown. Reid also worked as a reference librarian for Warner Library in Tarrytown, Yonkers Library System and Mercy College Library in Dobbs Ferry. She retired at the age of 80.
She is survived by three sons, Alexander (Joann) Reid, Jr., Robert Reid and Richard Reid, and a grandson. She was predeceased by her husband; a brother, John "Jack" Wood; and a sister, Robina "Bobbie" Sartoian.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at Edwards-Dowdle Fuenral Home in Dobbs Ferry. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home, followed by burial at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery,
