Greenburgh Nature Center To Host Fall Day In October

GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- The Greenburgh Nature Center is ready to celebrate fall with a day of scarecrow building, pumpkin carving, cider making and a petting zoo coming in October.

The nature center is hosting a fall celebration day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 20, according to a press release. The day includes pumpkin painting, scavenger hunts, tractor rides and more events for the family, according to the release.

Families are asked to pre-register for the day. Pre-registration fees for members will be $5 and $8 for non-members, with fees on the day of the event set at $7 for members and $10 for non-members.

Families getting pumpkins or building scarecrows will be charged $5 per pumpkin and $2 per scarecrow building, according to the release. Representatives noted that there is a limited number of each available and they can be reserved during pre-registration.

The event will include food available for purchase by ShopRite Scarsdale and is co-sponsored by California Pizza Kitchen, Central Animal Hospital, Dilmaghani Company, Fairview Golf Center, Green Mountain Energy, Gymboree, Jake's Wayback Burgers, Macaroni Kid, Mathnasium, NY Life Insurance, NorthEast Alliance Federal Credit Union, SavATree, Scarsdale Park Mall Stores, ShopRite (Scarsdale), Snip-Its Scarsdale, TD Bank, UCC-NY (Upper Cervical Chiropractic of New York), Venture Portraits, WFAS, Whole Foods Market Westchester, Greenburgh Parks & Recreation, Town of Greenburgh, and Westchester County Parks, according to the release.
