Paws Crossed is a new no-kill rescue, located at the former site of Pets Alive Westchester, which closed its doors last year.
Rebecca Solomon of News 12 Westchester will emcee the event's Doggie Fashion Show, where adoptable dogs from the shelter will strut their stuff in their finest attire -- and hopefully find their forever homes.
"We could not be any more excited and honored having Rebecca join us for this very important day," said Jennifer Angelucci, Paws Crossed president and CEO. "Rebecca is such a wonderful voice in animal advocacy and from day one, has followed and covered Paws Crossed's journey. We are so thankful for her passion and dedication."
The grand opening will be begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. There will be vendor and food booths, music, a pet parade, pet portraits, a pet psychic, and the opportunity to meet adoptable pets and tour the newly renovated facility.
The event will run from noon to 3 p.m. The shelter is located at 100 Warehouse Lane South, in Elmsford.
