Girl's 'Uncomfortable' Interaction With Man Near School In Region Under Investigation Police are investigating after a girl said a male driver approached her near an elementary school in the region and made her feel “uncomfortable.” The Schenectady incident happened at around 7:45 a.m. Thursday, April 25, outside Van Corlaer Elementary School on Guilderland Avenue.  Schenectady Police said the girl told school staff that she was walking in the area when a man approached her in a vehicle and began asking her questions that she wasn’t comfortable with. Julissa O’Reilly, of Troy, had last been seen on Tuesday, Dec. 5, in the city’s downtown area. On Saturday, Dec. 9, Troy Police announced that she was located in Lansingburgh and was reunited with her family. William Lindley, of Schenectady, was sentenced to 40 years in prison on Monday, March 13, in Schenectady County Court. It followed his conviction on multiple violent felonies, including first-degree criminal sex act, in January 2023.
