Man Dies Following 2-Vehicle Crash In Region Despite Efforts Of Good Samaritans A man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on a busy roadway in the region. The incident happened just before 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, in Saratoga County, on Route 146 in the Town of Clifton Park. According to sheriff’s officials, 53-year-old Geoffrey Gabel, of Halfmoon, was riding a Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on Route 146 when he struck a Nissan SUV making a left turn east of the traffic circle at Route 146A. Recall Issued For Yamaha Off-Road Motorcycles Due To Crash Hazard Yamaha is recalling about a brand of off-road motorcycles because they pose a crash risk,  the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced. The products were sold at Yamaha dealers nationwide from July 2021 through January 2022 for between $6,900 and $7,100. This recall involves motorcycles with the model numbers YZ125N2L and YZ125N2ME. The model number is printed on the right and left side of the motorcycle. One Killed After Collision Between BMW, Motorcycle In Area A 32-year-old man was killed in a collision between a BMW and a 2009 Yamaha motorcycle, according to state police. The crash took place around 2:10 p.m., Saturday, April 10 in Northern Westchester on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Yorktown, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks.
