DWI Detail: 23 Charged During Detail In Dutchess County
A total of 23 people were charged with driving while impaired/intoxicated in Dutchess County during St Patrick’s High Visibility Community Engagement campaign. Local law enforcement agencies collaborated in a joint effort to reduce the number of impaired drivers on Dutchess County roadways as part of a High Visibility Community Engagement Campaign that ran from Thursday, March 16 to Sunday, March 19. Ellen Elizabeth Hilpl, 67, a former Pound Ridge resident and most recently of the Village of Millerton since 2017, died Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at her home in the village. Born May 26, 1955 in Port Chester, NY she was the daughter of the late John E. and Norma Dean (Lasher) Hilpl of Pound Ridge. Ellen Elizabeth was a graduate of William Patterson College, receiving a bachelor’s degree in 1979, and the College of New Rochelle, where she received a master’s degree in education in 1984 as well as a master’s degree in music. 23 Charged With Impaired Driving During Dutchess July 4th DWI Crackdown
Police agencies throughout Dutchess County arrested more than two dozen motorists as part of a designed Fourth of July crackdown. County, state and local police agencies throughout Dutchess teamed up between Wednesday, July 3, and Sunday, July 7 to conduct impaired drivers details that consisted of “saturation patrols” throughout the county on top of their regular patrols. 31 Charged In St. Patrick's Day Weekend Details In Dutchess
A total of 31 people have been charged following the St. Patrick’s Day weekend detail conducted by state and local law enforcement groups between Friday, March 15 and Monday, March 18. The 31 arrests include the following individuals: Jose Garcia-Moreno, 45, of Norwalk, Connecticut was charged with DWI and having a BAC .08% or more, both misdemeanors. Dutchess Awards $334K To These Four Municipalities For Sidewalk Improvements
Dutchess County has awarded a total of more than $334,000 to several different municipalities for a series of sidewalk improvements. The grants are awarded through Dutchess County’s 2019 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program.
