Man Charged With First-Degree Rape In Area A Northern Westchester man is behind bars after being arrested for rape, New York State Police announced. An investigation by State Police in Cortlandt and the City of Peekskill Police Department led to the arrest of Miguel Pillacela, 38, of Peekskill for first-degree rape, a felony, Capt. John Ryan announced. Ryan said that the investigation by the two law enforcement agencies determined that Pillacela allegedly forcibly raped his victim in the town of Cortlandt.  No other details were released by police. Troopers responded to two residences in the Cortlandt Manor area shortly after 10 p.m.on Monday, Aug. 26 for reports of mailboxes blown up. Man, Woman Caught Driving Stolen Vehicle In Northern Westchester A 20-something man and woman are both behind bars after they were caught driving a stolen vehicle in Northern Westchester, state police said. Troopers pulled over a  2007 Volkswagen on Main Street in Cortlandt on Monday, May 21 due to a notification that the vehicle was stolen. Patrick S. McCullough, 25, and Diana R. Lake, 21, of Winfield, Kansas, were interviewed, and the subsequent investigation found the vehicle was stolen. Lake was also found to be in possession of a gravity knife, according to police.
