Man Punches Victim, Breaks Cell Phone At 7-Eleven In Area, Police Say A man is facing charges after police say he punched a victim and broke a cell phone at a 7-Eleven in Northern Westchester. Yorktown Police say they received a report of a physical altercation at the 7-Eleven at 1949 Commerce Street on Sunday, April 7 around 3:30 p.m. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Quameik Byrd of Yorktown, allegedly struck the victim with a closed fist and caused substantial pain, bruising and swelling, police said. Dutchess Woman Charged With Violating Order Of Protection A Dutchess County woman has been remanded into the custody of the Westchester County Department of Corrections after allegedly violating a Temporary Order of Protection issued in Putnam, according to police in Yorktown. Shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to the Kmart parking lot on Downing Drive, where there was a report of two people arguing in a vehicle.
