Woman Accused Of Stealing $2,500 From Staples In Hudson Valley A Northern Westchester woman was allegedly caught stealing more than $2,500 from a business through fraudulent refunds. Octavia Johnson, age 37, of Mount Kisco, was arrested at the Staples on Noth Bedford Road on Tuesday, Aug. 9, and charged with grand larceny. According to the Westchester County Police, Johnson was caught after loss prevention staff provided documentation alleging she stole more than $2,500 through fraudulent refund transactions. She is due in Mount Kisco Court on Thursday, Aug. 25.

Man Nabbed For Dutchess Robbery Also Linked To Other Larcenies A 45-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an alleged strong-arm robbery at an area Staples store. William A. Gearhart, of LaGrange, was arrested on Wednesday, June 17, in Dutchess County by the Town of Poughkeepsie Police for the robbery, said Capt. Joseph Cavalier. The robbery took place around 10 a.m., on Thursday, June 11, when Gearhart allegedly forcibly stole merchandise from the Staples at 2522 South Road and fled the scene in a vehicle, Cavalier said.
