Drivers ID'd After Car Crashes Into Newtown Restaurant Police have identified the drivers involved in a crash that ended with one of the vehicles inside the front of a popular Newtown restaurant on Monday. The crash took place around 2:30 p.m., Monday, March 4, when 79-year-old Theodore Shear, of Bridgewater, and 59-year-old Douglas Gabel, of Monroe, were traveling in opposite directions on South Main Street, said Newtown Police Lt. Aaron Bahamonde. Stolen Car Suspect Caught After Foot Chase In Area A teen was nabbed by police driving a stolen vehicle following a chase in two towns and a crash. Cameron David King, 18, of Bridgeport, was arrested around 3 a.m. Tuesday after officers from the Newtown Police Department were dispatched to the area of South Main Street at Bears Hill Road to search for a stolen motor vehicle, Newtown Police said. It was reported that a blue Toyota Highlander was stolen out of Greenwich earlier in the evening and had just been in a pursuit with Bridgeport Police and was last seen traveling north on Route 25.
