First Putnam Sheriff Town Hall Of Year Scheduled The first Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Town Hall of 2019 has been scheduled for Thursday, April 25 at the Kent Volunteer Fire House. The “informal evening of questions and discussion” is intended to allow for the addressing of concerns throughout the community regarding the services and responses provided by the Sheriff’s Department itself. Employees Evacuated After Bomb Threat At Area Business A bomb threat to a business with 20 employees busy at work brought a quick response from emergency responders in Putnam County. Putnam County sheriff’s deputies responded to T. Webber Plumbing and Heating, located at 3365 Route 9 in the Town of Philipstown, on the call of a bomb threat on Thursday, Dec. 13 at approximately 2 p.m., Sheriff Robert L. Langley Jr. said. Upon arrival to the scene, deputies set a perimeter around the premises and evacuated the building.
