Box Truck Hits, Kills 41-Year-Old Man On Capital Region Roadway A man was struck and killed while walking on a roadway in the region. The Saratoga County incident happened at around 5 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, on Route 9 in the town of Halfmoon, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Michael Blackburn, age 41, was walking along Route 9 near Sitterly Road when he was struck by a box car. Blackburn, of Clifton Park, was taken to Samaritan Hospital where he died from his injuries, deputies said. A Rensselaer County jury found 37-year-old Taquan Evans, of Troy, guilty of second-degree murder on May 24, in the death of his wife Georlasia Evans. Rensselaer County resident Dylan Densmore, age 26, of Poestenkill, was arrested Thursday, April 21, following the wreck on Highway 355 in Poestenkill, according to the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office. The boy was reported missing Sunday, April 17, from a house on Oakhurst Street in Pleasantdale, the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. After an extensive search that included more than 100 volunteers, the boy was eventually found unresponsive in a pool on the property where he lived.
