Person Stabbed In Lobby Of Resorts World Catskills Casino A person was stabbed in the lobby of the Resorts World Catskills Casino. The incident took place in Sullivan County around 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 22, at the casino located in the town of Thompson. The suspect then fled the area and the victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said Trooper Steven Nevel. The investigation is ongoing. This is a developing story. Woman Stole More Than $7K at Resorts World Catskills, Police Say A woman was arrested for stealing more than $7,000 from a guest at the Resorts World Catskills Casino, according to New York State Police. Andrea Mercer, 33, of the Bronx, was charged with grand larceny Wednesday following an investigation into the theft of the money, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Mercer, a guest at the casino herself, entered the room of another guest at the casino and stole more than $7,000 from that individual, Nevel said. Mercer was arraigned remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on $7,500 cash bail.
