Migrant Crisis: More Asylum Seekers Arrive In Region From NYC Dozens of asylum seekers have arrived in the Capital Region as part of New York City’s plan to temporarily house hundreds of migrants in hotels across the region. On Monday evening, May 29, a bus of approximately 40 male asylum seekers arrived at the Ramada Hotel in Albany, located on Watervliet Avenue, “at the direction of New York City,” a city spokesperson confirmed to Daily Voice. Dutchess County Granted Temporary Restraining Order Barring More Migrants After several busloads of migrants and asylum seekers arrived in a Hudson Valley town without warning, the county has been granted a temporary restraining order barring more. Dutchess County Woman Nabbed With 'Candy-Like' Drugs At Hotel, Police Say A Hudson Valley woman was nabbed with "candy-like" methamphetamine pills and crack cocaine at an area hotel during a warrant search. Dutchess County resident Cali A. Hamilton, age 25, of the town of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 27 by members of the Dutchess County Drug Task Force at the Red Roof Inn in Poughkeepsie. According to Det. Sgt.
