Dutchess County residents Jaiyah Shabelch, age 25, and Raheem Angus, age 25, both of Poughkeepsie, were arrested on Monday, March 11 following an investigation into the thefts. Man Nabbed For DWI/Drugs Following Wrong-Way Dutchess Crash, Police Say A 34-year-old man has been arrested for alleged DWI/Drugs following a wrong-way driving crash in the area. Jason Miles, of Ancramdale in Columbia County, was arrested on Thursday, March 25, following a three-vehicle crash in the Town of Poughkeepsie in which one of the cars rolled over, said Town of Poughkeepsie Police Capt. Bear Tranquilized After Climbing Tree In Town Of Poughkeepsie A black bear had to be tranquilized and pushed out of a tree by police in the Town of Poughkeepsie after drawing the attention of area residents. Officers received reports from the Arlington section of town at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 28, when the bear was spotted in a tree between Taft Avenue and the Raymond Avenue extension. Police tranquilized the bear while it was in the tree and an officer climbed up and pushed it onto a safe pad on the ground below.
