Krista Sewell of Melville, in Suffolk County, entered the guilty plea on Friday, Feb. 5, in Ulster County. Dutchess Woman Nabbed With Drugs During Probation Sweep, Police Say Three people were arrested on drug and other charges during a probation sweep by the Orange County Sheriff's Office and the Probation Department. The sweep took place on Thursday, Oct. 31, when the two offices teamed up to enforce the supervision of probationers through home visits, said Orange County Sheriff's Capt. Paul Arteta. Phyllis DeWitt Of Putnam Sheriff's Department Calls It A Career Phyllis DeWitt, a longtime employee of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office called it a career on Friday. DeWitt, who started working for the county in 1985 with the Probation Department where she worked until 2001 when she moved to the Sheriff’s Office's Civil Division.  After 23 years, fellow employees wished her well and thanked her for all her years of service.
