Putnam County Sheriff Deputies responded to State Route 312 in the Town of Southeast on Thursday, Feb. 21 on the report of a two-car accident. Further investigation revealed that one of the drivers involved in the crash, 19-year-old Dylan Stefanelli of New Fairfield, was allegedly impaired by drugs, police say. Man, Woman Face Separate Charges After Route 22 Stop A man and woman of Brewster are both facing charges following a traffic stop initiated by a Putnam County Deputy Sheriff. The deputy sheriff pulled over a vehicle on Route 22 in Patterson that allegedly committed a traffic violation Tuesday, Nov. 20. Upon further inspection, the deputy learned that the vehicle’s driver, 40-year-old John Covias, had a suspended license in addition to two active warrants out from the Duchess County Sheriff’s Office.
