Fatal Crash: 42-Year-Old ID'd As Victim On I-87 In Hudson Valley A 42-year-old man was killed during a crash between two tractor-trailers in the Hudson Valley. The collision occurred in Orange County around 12:10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 10 on I-87 between Exit 17 in Newburgh and Exit 16 in Harriman. A preliminary investigation determined that a 30-year-old Albany man was operating a Peterbilt tractor-trailer southbound on I-87 when he sideswiped a Volvo bobtail tractor which was stopped on the right shoulder of the roadway, said New York State Trooper Tara McCormick. Town Of Poughkeepsie Man Killed After Being Hit By Truck, Car ID'd The Town of Poughkeepsie man who was killed after being struck by an empty dump truck and then a car on Lime Kiln Road late Thursday night has been identified. A preliminary investigation indicated that the victim, 44-year-old Rudolph Thompson of the Town of Poughkeepsie, was struck while in the southbound lane of Lime Kiln Road by a 2012 Peterbilt tractor hauling an empty dump trailer.
