Peekskill resident Demetrius Bogan, 20, pleaded guilty to manslaughter for killing 22-year-old Khalil Lyons in Peekskill in July, 2018, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. announced. Bear Spotted In Peekskill, Day After Garrison Sighting Have you seen it? There's a bear on the prowl near the border of Northern Westchester and Putnam. Peekskill Police dispatch said it's likely just one bear who was spotted multiple times Wednesday morning is moving around the area of Park Street. An animal control officer is making the bear is not bothering anyone, police said. Another bear, probably the same one, visited a home in Garrison (about eight miles north of Peekskill) on Tuesday.
