Man, 20, Admits To Role In 2018 Fatal Shooting A Northern Westchester man admitted to his role in the fatal soothing of a man last summer. Peekskill resident Demetrius Bogan, 20, pleaded guilty to manslaughter for killing 22-year-old Khalil Lyons in Peekskill in July, 2018, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. announced. Bogan admitted to his role in the fatal shooting that killed Lyons, a Bronx resident, at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Park Street in Peekskill on July 13 last year. Bear Spotted In Peekskill, Day After Garrison Sighting Have you seen it? There's a bear on the prowl near the border of Northern Westchester and Putnam. Peekskill Police dispatch said it's likely just one bear who was spotted multiple times Wednesday morning is moving around the area of Park Street. An animal control officer is making the bear is not bothering anyone, police said. Another bear, probably the same one, visited a home in Garrison (about eight miles north of Peekskill) on Tuesday.
