Inmate Found Dead In Area Jail Cell Days After Arrest
An inmate was found dead at a jail in the region days after his arrest. Saratoga County Sheriff’s officials said Derek Labutta, age 43, of Schenectady, was found unresponsive in his cell at the county jail in Ballston Spa on Monday evening, March 18. Labutta, who was alone in the cell at the time, was pronounced dead at the scene. Dutchess County Granted Temporary Restraining Order Barring More Migrants
After several busloads of migrants and asylum seekers arrived in a Hudson Valley town without warning, the county has been granted a temporary restraining order barring more. Dutchess County was granted the order by Dutchess County Supreme Court Judge Maria Rosa on Tuesday, May 23, said Dutchess County Executive William O'Neil. Five Suspects Apprehended After Shots Fired In Hudson Valley
Five suspects have been apprehended after an early afternoon shooting in the Hudson Valley. It happened in Rockland County on Saturday, Jan. 29 at around 1:45 p.m. in New City. Officers from the Clarkstown Police Department responded to reports of multiple gunshots being fired outside of 3 Turnberry Court. Police Conduct Crisis Intervention After Suicide Threats In Newtown
Patrol officers from the Newtown Police Department were sent to a residence in the Botsford area of Newtown last week to conduct a crisis intervention on an individual who had made suicidal threats.
